Eve Hearsum is currently a 3rd year student at Leeds College or Art and Design studying the degree BA (Hons) Printed Textiles and Surface Pattern Design. This course has enabled Eve to experiment in all different methods of surface pattern design including fashion, interiors and greetings. By developing and gaining skills within this course she has developed techniques in a variety of mediums and methods of print including digital, paper and fabric screen printing.
With bold use of colour and playful hand drawn illustrations, Eve’s style of working is focussed around elements of mark making and textured detail that is developed using CAD, in particular Photoshop and Illustrator. Her designs are inspired by narrative themes and places she has visited with primary research the starting point of all projects. Eve’s work mainly consists of elements we see in our everyday lives such as nature, architecture and methods of transport.
